Wilkie, James M. WATERVLIET James M. Wilkie, 52, formerly of Selkirk, died Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born in Albany on March 2, 1959, he is the son of Patricia McDermott Wilkie of Albany and the late Lyle H. Wilkie, Sr. He was raised in Selkirk and was a graduate of Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School (RCS). He was a US Air Force veteran from 1979-85 serving in Texas and Germany. He was employed by Owens-Corning Fiberglass and by General Electric, both in Delmar. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed crossword puzzles. He is the husband of Cathy A. Monroe Wilkie, father of Erica L. (Thomas) Norman of Troy, James M. Wilkie II of Watervliet and Valerie S. Wilkie of Ballston Spa; grandfather of Krystiana, Devin and Ceciliah; brother of Laurel (George) Lamora of Selkirk, Jacqueline Wilkie of Decorah, Iowa, Lyle H. (Linda) Wilkie Jr. of Chaumont, N.Y., Patrick (Laura) Wilkie of Delmar, Maribeth (Thomas) Mizener of Selkirk and Holly Wilkie of Albany; special friend of Gary, Mike, Jason, Dave and Tony. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet, on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the James Wilkie Family Benefit, c/o Pioneer Savings Bank, 2000 Second Ave., Watervliet, NY 12189.
