Obituary for Marion A. Camp (Perlee)

LATHAM – Marion A. Perlee Camp, 94, died peacefully Saturday evening, November 10, 2018 at Our Lady of Mercy Care Center in Guilderland. Born in Albany on July 18, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Gordon E. and Marion Bradt Perlee.
Marion was raised in McKownville and was a graduate of Altamont High School. She resided in Latham for over 60 years where she was a homemaker and raised her children.
She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Latham and was a member of the Colonie Senior Citizens. She was an avid New York Mets fan, enjoyed sewing, gardening and traveling.
She was the wife of the late John E Camp who died in 1999; beloved mother of Pamela J. (Andrew) DeHont of Guilderland, John E. (Kimberly) Camp, Jr, of Colonie and the late David A. Camp and his wife Sandra Camp who survives of Guilderland; sister of Gordon “Bud” E. (late Marcia) Perlee, Jr. of Altamont and the late Marjorie (late Arthur) Hoose; sister in law of the late Caroline (late Charles) Arnold; adored Nana of Chris (Erika), Kyle (Emily) and Kevin (Melissa) DeHont, John (Stacey) Camp, Jennifer (Jeff) Lelievre. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her cherished dog, “Buddy”.
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00 pm at the Bowen & Parker Bros. Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Pastor Terrence O’Neill officiating. Interment will follow in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call prior to the service on Wednesday from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the funeral home.
